Our famous author Chris Powling's visit !
Mr Powling talked to the children about his writing and read extracts from some of his many popular books and was ably supported by the teachers! One of his aims is to promote the enjoyment of reading books and our children were entralled by his stories. A writer and broadcaster, he has written over ninety books and presented and contributed to a range of programmes on BBC Radio 4 and the World Service, mainly on aspects of children’s reading and literature.
 
Olympian visits St Stephens (Jan2015)
Mark Steinle one of Britains greatest distance runners of recent times visited the school rercently to meet the children at a special school assembly and talk and take quesimportance of exercise and diet.
